Compare equipped state before buying again
If a new item appears to do nothing, first check whether it is actually assigned to the intended crew member or slot. Then compare the new item with what it replaces. An item with a large listed stat is not necessarily a large improvement over the current loadout.
The developer confirms weapons, armor and vehicles as equipment categories. This guide does not assume a particular slot count, stacking rule or combat formula. Follow the assignment controls and requirements shown in your current client.
Six checks in order
- Ownership: confirm the item appears in your current inventory and the purchase completed.
- Assignment: inspect the relevant crew or equipment screen for the selected item.
- Compatibility: read any requirement, category or restriction shown.
- Replacement: record the previous item’s stats as well as the new item’s.
- Display: compare the same stat in the same screen and state.
- Outcome: if testing combat, record other changes that could affect the result.
Stop when a check explains the mismatch. Buying an additional item before verifying assignment can turn a simple display or setup question into unnecessary spending.
Use the change, not the headline value
Illustration: an old item contributes 80 attack and a replacement shows 100 attack. If the values contribute directly and everything else is unchanged, the candidate increase is 20, not 100. A 4,000-cash upgrade then costs 200 per additional attack point. That arithmetic compares similar candidates; it does not prove how much your win chance changes.
If the replacement also reduces defense, there are two changes to evaluate. Do not subtract unlike stats into one universal score without an explicit reason. For a role-sensitive comparison, keep attack and defense in separate columns and state which activity you are preparing for.
A small before-and-after record
Record the date, item names, selected crew member, equipped slots, visible requirements and the exact stat display before and after. If there is a preview screen, distinguish its proposed changes from the confirmed equipped state. A screenshot can help you compare labels without relying on memory.
If the display does not update as expected, check whether the current interface has confirmed the action. Avoid repeating paid actions just to force a visual change. If a discrepancy persists, describe the smallest reproducible sequence and use the developer-linked support route in official links and updates.
When another upgrade is actually justified
Consider another purchase only after identifying a real gap: a requirement you cannot meet, a compatible slot that needs an item, or a measurable improvement relevant to your objective. Compare candidates using the marginal upgrade guide. Include the cash you would delay investing elsewhere.
For PvP, read risk and reward before treating a stat increase as a profitable attack plan. For general progress, use the bottleneck diagnostic. A loadout can be stronger while still failing to address the action that is actually blocking your account.
